Shedding light
In one yard there's a plant.
In another there's a shrub.
A third contains a tree.
OK. So where's the rub?
When we plant it in the garden;
its upward growth may seem quite slight.
But, we don't consider the simple fact;
when grown it may cut out a neighbours light.
Most yards are only three feet long;
two of these is a gradely height
as a maximum to minimise shade
next door where they too have a right.
