Own A Ship
As I was falling asleep last night
I realised something profound.
Just then it was very important,
but on wakening had gone to ground.
Things that fall amongst the rocks
are important because that’s where they are;
it’s the deep, sad thought of losing them
not their value that leaves a scar.
We like to own things that are not ours
and we’re devalued when we lose them.
Think only of losing any great thought
and you'll learn to remember each gem!

We usually overvalue what we have lost.
