Chicken
They say a chicken keeps on running
if and when you cut off its head.
Is the truth, that it will keep on doing
what it was doing before it was dead ?
Okay, so chickens can run fast,
enough to avoid the chop.
But if killed standing on one leg,
would they never stop to hop?
Should they kill a chicken whilst flying,
though I know they rarely do,
would it go straight, or round in circles?
I really haven’t a clue.
This gives new meaning to battery hens,
who’s lives’ many think are quite flat.
Never kill a cock, when it's on charge
or a hen laying eggs come to that.
